There are two ways to save on an identity theft service. The first way is to use the LifeLock promotion code and avoid becoming a victim of identity theft. The second way is to wait until somebody offers you free credit monitoring.
About LifeLock’s promo code
Occasionally, LifeLock discounts its services by publishing promotional codes. Some of these discounts are better than others. The discount available by using PROMO CODE Defense, is as good as it gets. There are no other bigger or better discounts available anywhere on the internet.
All you have to do is click on the link above. But while you’re there, read about the services LifeLock provides. LifeLock focuses on prevention; they make it impossible for identity thieves to steal your personal information so you never become a victim. Other companies offer to help their clients clean up after the damage is done.

How to get free credit monitoring
Sixty-five billion account records have been lost in data breaches in the last six years; that equals 10 records for each person on the planet. In some cases, the agency responsible for the lost records notified their customers or employees of the potential for identity theft. And, in some cases, they tried to make amends by offering free credit monitoring.
Credit monitoring means once the thieves have used your identity to open new credit accounts, the credit monitors will let you know—like telling you to close the barn door after your cows are on the loose.
If you own a credit card, your own personal information has almost certainly been stolen already. Sooner or later somebody will call to tell you there’s something suspicious already on your credit record.
To receive this free service you don’t need to do a thing. Just wait.

Even using lifelock promotion codes, you still are wasting your money. Just place the fraud alerts yourself.
I think it was a good idea to start a service like this. Not everyone feels comfortable with calling the credit bureaus and doing this themselves. It is nice to have a convenient way to get this done and not have to worry about it.
Personally, I would use lifelock too. Why not? Is it really that critical to save $9 or $10 a month and leave it up to chance that you will or will not be affected.
Anonymous,
LifeLock acknowledges that some of their services can be completed by consumers without charge. LifeLock’s fraud alert service is for the consumer unlikely to place the fraud alert and renew it every 90 days. It’s a convenience, just like paying for oil changes and salon manicures.
Thanks for reading the blog.
I can barely remember to pay my electric bill every month. Seems like Lifelock provides a time saving service in addition to being preventative. Kinda like putting a security sign up in your yard.
